Autumn 2005 Meetings
The highlights of our autumn meetings were:
- A rather wet rowing trip to Stratford on Avon, when especially the girl’s boat got caught in a torrential shower of rain and its crew took shelter under a severely Weeping Willow. The other boats jostled for shelter under a bridge until the shower passed. We dried out as we banqueted in the nearby Chinese Restaurant.
- An interesting talk from the owner of a micro-brewery at The Plough, Bodicote followed by a pub quiz.
- An excursion to the Snow Dome at Milton Keynes, when we returned with no broken bones, but Tom had to come home on the back of an AA Lorry.
